Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen,
It has been a wonderful honour and privilege for me to represent you and Killarney Golf and Fishing Club in 2020 and 2021. No words can truly express my heartfelt thanks to everybody for your fantastic support, courtesy, inclusion, helpfulness, and friendship shown to me during the past two years. A sincere thank you to everyone for your hard work, whole-hearted dedication, with your expertise and professionalism, and most of all a lot of time given to our club in very difficult circumstances in these unprecedented years of Covid 19.
Your challenges and difficulties were many but your response was always prompt and efficient in safeguarding our finances, the reputation and conditions of our two world-class championship courses, the Academy and Club, against a backdrop of what was right for our Club and our members. A special word of appreciation to all. ‘A job well done’. The highlight of my Presidency was our Men’s Junior Cup team winning the All Ireland Pendant and Trophy. Congratulations to Captain Harry, team players and managers. What a fantastic achievement for our club. Junior golf is very close to my heart. The development, support and furthering of golf for boys and girls going forward are paramount. We have a thriving Junior club in very safe hands. Congratulations to Corrina Griffin and Alicia Burke for their selection on the Munster team.
I wish President Junior Finnegan a successful and enjoyable year for 2022.
